The owner and driving force behind Arkle Partners is Mark Sargent. Arkle is an outlet for Mark’s ethos of ethically-driven, community-minded entrepreneurial investment.
It’s a philosophy that has taken shape over many years, through Mark’s experience in roles across a wide span of fields and industries. And it has developed alongside a sharp instinct for the right opportunity, as well as a strong appetite for finding solutions to seemingly insoluble problems.

Philip Astley-Morton
Chief Financial Officer
Arkle’s Chief Financial Officer is Philip Astley-Morton. A long-standing member of the team, Philip is the numbers guru behind all of our deals. He oversees every element of every acquisition, from due diligence and the financial modelling of our deals to making sure accounting departments have the support they need after deals have gone through.
Highly skilled and experienced at corporate level, Philip is well-attuned to the systems of both manufacturing and service-based companies. He specialises in analysing resource, cost and price management, and is ideally equipped to help the businesses we buy maximise their returns.
