What types of businesses do we focus on?

We are UK-focused and work in three circumstances:

  1. Corporate carve-outs and divestments.
  2. Retirement sales and successions of profitable businesses.
  3. Special situations where continuity and decisive ownership matter.

We will consider select international opportunities where we already have relevant operating experience.

We are sector flexible within the UK mid-market, but we only pursue opportunities where we understand how the business really works and can support it through change.

Who do we prefer to speak to?

We prefer to speak with the decision-maker early. If you’re not them, we’re happy to begin the conversation and ask you to connect us to the right person. Clear decision-making reduces delay and unnecessary complexity.

Do we participate in auctions or formal sales processes?

No. We don’t participate in auctions, competitive bidding, or formal sale processes. If it becomes a process with multiple bidders, we step away. We remain open to a direct conversation with a decision-maker at any time.

How quickly can we move?

We move quickly when there is clarity. Speed comes from internal decision-making and preparation, not pressure. We aim to establish the fit, the timing, and the key points early on, so that the next steps are straightforward.

Do we force exits?

No. We’re not working to a deadline to sell. We buy businesses to own them. If a sale ever happens later, it’s because it makes sense for the business, not because we have to.
