What we do
We buy businesses we can help and together we build growing, healthy companies whose success we can all share in. We’re a partner, a custodian, a friend. We unearth the hidden gems: businesses with strong potential and great people, willing to work hard with a trusted partner on a shared vision to grow and add value. We get to know everyone and discover their hopes and challenges. We find ways through problems that no one else can see, focusing on the battles we can win, together. It’s about taking the long view; carefully guiding each business we invest in. No dramas. Just shrewd, telling nudges on the tiller to move things in the right direction. We’re not saying it’s easy. There’s always hard work involved.

How we work
We’ve developed our own approach, a combination of insight, instinct and positive intent that brings us together with the right people. When we identify an opportunity to work with a company, we act on it quickly and expertly. Working with our external specialists, we’ll make a brisk but detailed assessment of the business and its market. We’ll weigh up its strategy, products and services, and the resources behind them, and develop a way forward that’s based on its strengths and potential. We’ll take full measure of the company’s possibly complex internal situation too, so that our plan can bring reassurance and stability for the business and its staff.
